Addressing the Needs of LGBT Older Adults
I had the opportunity to talk with @dcmoca and @dcagingnews about the fact that in 2014 and 2015, LGBT folks made up 10% of the population but less than 1% of clients receiving services through the DC Office of Aging. The answer to address this shocking disparity, of course, is to fund programs and services for LGBT older adults, and while we are still not there yet, @thedccenter will keep pushing!
